When i think of Floral patterns the first thing i think of is my Grandmothers floral sofa! But today Florals come in all kinds of styles and patterns. What kind of Florals do you like?
I like small flowers like chintz. I love Waverly fabrics and have since the sixties. I am not sure about the big stuff. I do like Hawaiian bark cloth and that can be big prints. Roberta Anne
Lovely post, Cathleen! These days I'm drawn to florals that are larger and somewhat retro and funky. I particularly like mixing fabrics these kinds of fabrics with more traditional furniture. Of the chai)rs you've posted (all of which are beautiful!) I like #4 - the chair itself has those traditional lines but the fabric hints at vintage, but is really quite contemporary. Great post! LOVE the blue chair, with the cream floral. I tend to like the crewel work florals, so you have texture and pattern, without all the color. Tone on tone, or cream on color - love that! Ooo, BTW, I don't have your address. I don't know if the e-mail you sent with it got lost, or what ... but if you'll send again please - so I can get that handy dandy tool out to you! Happy Tuesday!
I love florals too ... all of them. I brought two large matching floral sofas from Florida to Central Oregon but sold them when I realized flowered sofas in the high desert/rugged/snowy mountains wasn't working. I found a deep cranberry sofa with chairs that compliment it to go with our butter colored walls that fit the climate perfectly. BUT, I still have flowers in my bedroom!
Sad to report that with the 5 boys + the Demolition King, there's been precious little florals in Miss Millie's life - that must change! And seeing this fabulous post Cathleen has got me in just the mood to do it. Plus our Prime Minister was extolling us all yesterday to spend, spend, spend - so may have to heed his words. Millie ^_^
Well, I love the white Frenchy chair with the florals- so scrips. And then I like also the wonderful muted floral with the fringe ont he bottom....so I guess those. Not really bright florals, not geomtrically florals...

That first chair was really beautifully upholstered! :)
