I've been thinking of how my grandmothers have influenced my life, My Fathers mother was a wonderful seamstress and quilter as her mother was, I'm sad to say I'm neither one. But, I'm fortunate enough to have their many quilts they made over the years and cherish the love that goes into each one. These are some quilts I thought you might enjoy!

I love quilts. These are beautiful, and they are so beautifully displayed. Thanks for the lovely inspiration. laurie
Works of art. Love the red and white one on the wall.
Have a great weekend Cathleen!
I have a special friend who is in her 80's that is a quilter. But really calling her a quilter short changes her talent because it really is an art form that requires tremendous skill and patience.
Thanks for reminding me of her in these quilts.

those are absolutely fabulous Cathleen and what a treasure you have to remember her by.
Blessings...
All the quilts you posted are so colourful and pretty. I'm in awe of anyone who has the patience and skill to create pieces like these by hand.

Thanks for stopping by...and I suggest, at least once, you try daydreaming while doing the dishes!

I love the quilts. They're beautiful and very alluring to the concept of "wanting" to be home.
Hi, I gave you an award. . . come over to my site to pick it up. :D

Hi Cathleen! Oh, I love quilts too! I have so many of them. My Grandmother was a quilter and so was my Mother! I just cherish them
Hope all is well with you!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Beautiful! I have never owned a quilt...so sad, but true.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend. It's rainy here in the sunshine state. Sigh! I've had a busy week though, so I'll use the weekend to catch up on my rest and my blog reading.
Hugs!

Quilts are so pretty!
I've been on the hunt for one that is bright and vivid, not too floral and romantic.

you are one lucky girl!! I'm just in my 60's and made my first quilt for my grandson. It was thrilling. I predict you will make some in your life.
