Here are a few examples of how the past Presidents have decorated their private quarters.
The Blue Room
The Green Room
Yellow Oval Room
The Presidents & First ladies Master Bedroom
The First Family's living area is located in the East Wing of the White House, and each incoming family redecorates the private living area. Of Course their Historical committees that make the decisions for the White House. Who's style do you prefer? Overall I think I'm a Reagan Girl....xoxo,
Cathleen

Politics aside .... Reagan gets my vote.
Oh, Cathleen, thank you for the peek inside the living quarters of the White House. I'm agreeing, the Reagans decorated the best! Go, little old Nancy! Woo Hoo!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Oh yaeh! Mee too! I would go crazy in there...!!! How fun! :) Love, meme
Oh I want to go play in the White House. Now hubby would not want to be President because he hates meetings but it would be the least he could do to let me get my hands on all that great "stuff" Thanks for the fun post.

What a fun post! I loved comparing the different rooms from each administration.
I agree-Reagan, but I loved the George W Blue room. Very interesting to see how a room gets changed by incoming presidents. I've seen the changes before, but never side-by-side. Thanks for sharing this. laurie
I love the Reagan images, but I have to say that I am a Kennedy gal.

Hey Cathleen - fabulous post girl! The Kennedy's for me too, hard to believe that these images are over 40 years old - no questioning Jackie's style even after all these years.
Millie ^_^
Love the photos and how they're arranged side-by-side for comparison. Do these exist for more of the White House rooms? Thanks!
I love the Reagan images, but I have to say that I am a Kennedy gal. i agree
Kennedy style is very airy, warm, and very classy. Definitely my favorite! What great insight though! Thanks for sharing! I would love to see what Michelle has down with the East Wing.
Umm not the East Wing of The White House....the entire Second Floor for the most part
