My Calendar Board Repurposed

Calendar Holder (The last calendar I used dated 2003)
Chalk Board Paint
New Chalk BoardSo Here's the story. My Father made this calendar holder for me about 13 years ago and I loved it.  But, as the years passed I tired of it. My Father passed away a few years after he had made this so I have hung onto it in the back of my closet.  I've been looking for a chalk board for my new kitchen, and going thru my old things I ran a crossed the calendar holder and thought this is my new chalk board!  The backing on the holder is a smooth surface so i painted it with chalk board paint. I just Love it, and the sentimental value.

xoxo,
Cathleen

Awwww...this gave me sweet chills to know your Dad made this for you. I'm so glad you have found such a unique way to use it. It really looks good. You go girl!

We've just returned from our Marco Island trip, so I'm spending time in-between laundry to play "catch up" yet again with my blog reading.

Hugs!

Oh how nice that you repurposed something so sentimental to you!!!
It is so handy too I bet!!
I have an empty blue frame that is similar to yours that we plan to use in our grandson's nursery.
